I recently had the occasion to undergo surgery that maybe I should have done years ago. I procrastinated however until I couldn’t procrastinate anymore thinking the problem would over time, just go away or clear up, or something. It didn’t. I fretted a bit but there’s nothing like the present to take action. It’s now become the past but anyway… Waterfall, M.C. Escher 1961

There were events leading up to this surgery that had shifted perspective better than an M. C. Escher drawing and I realized in comparison, my operation was just a dust ball on top of a pin like a collection of Who’s in a Dr. Seuss rhyme. (more…)
